Incident Summary – Saturday 7th March 2026 – Day shift and Night Shift
Time: 14:19 Location: Vangarde Way, York
Crews from Acomb and York were requested by police to attend an incident involving a single vehicle road traffic collision. Crews made the scene safe and left the incident in hands of police and ambulance.
Time: 15:16 Location: New road, Settle
Crews from Harrogate, who were at Skipton fire station, were mobilised to an incident involving a person locked out of their camper van whilst a fire had been left on within. Crews used a locker snapper to gain access and left the incident with the owner.
Time: 17.23 Location: York
York crew responded to reports of an individual stuck in a lift carriage, crews used small tools to release the individual. Advice was given to the responsible person present.
Time: 17.39 Location: West Moor Lane, Raskelf
A crew from Easingwold responded to fire sighted in the distance, on arrival crews found this to be a controlled burn in the middle of a field with no risk of it spreading.
Time: 18.17 Location: A64
Acomb crew responded to reports of a fire sighted next to the A64, on arrival crews found this to be a controlled burn under supervision, advice was given to the responsible person present.
Time: 22.05 Location: Bawtry Road, Selby
Selby crew attended a two vehicle road traffic collision, nobody was trapped in the vehicles. Crews used small tools to isolate the car batteries in both vehicles, and advice was given to responsible people present. Incident was left with the police on scene.
Time: 22.59 Location: York
A crew from York responded to an individual locked in a bathroom due to a bathroom door malfunction. Crews used small tools to gain access and release the individual locked in the bathroom.
Crews from York (X5), Kirkbymoorside, Acomb, Skipton and Scarborough responded to automatic fire alarm activations. After investigation these were found to be false alarms. Advice was given to the responsible person present.
