Incident Summary – 11th March 2026, Wednesday Dayshift

Time: 07:58  Location: B6265, Ripon

Ripon responded to a vehicle that had rolled onto the verge at the side of the road. The driver was out prior to arrival and uninjured. Crews relocated the vehicle and managed traffic until the arrival of police. Crew power used only and incident handed over to police.

Time: 08:07 Location: A59, Upper Poppleton 

Acomb responded to a two vehicle road traffic collision. All persons were out on arrival of fire crews. Police were in attendance on arrival of fire crews and did not require any further assistance. The incident was left with police.

Time: 11:02 Location: Rossett Drive, Harrogate

Harrogate responded to a request from police to gain entry to a property after welfare concerns for the occupant. Crews accessed the property and moved the occupant from the floor to a safe position with crew power. The incident was left with family members awaiting the arrival of ambulance crews.

Time: 11:38 Location: Oakdale Avenue, Harrogate

A crew from Harrogate responded to a pan fire left unattended by the occupant. The fire was out on arrival and the ground floor of the property was ventilated using a positive pressure ventilation fan to clear some light smoke logging on the ground floor. The occupant was uninjured and the fire was confined to the pan only. Advice was given to the occupant.

Time: 12:28 Location: Cold Moor, Stokesley

Stokesley responded to reports of fire seen on the moors. After inspection, this was confirmed as false alarm with good intent during the burning season.

Time: 15:15 Location: Market Place, Ripon

A crew from Ripon responded to reports of a fire to a waste bin. Crews used a hose reel jet to extinguish the fire.

Time: 16:40  Location: Thirkleby, near Thirsk

Thirsk were requested by ambulance to gain entry to a property but on arrival found access had already been gained by paramedics. No fire service action was required.

Time: 16:47 Location: Haywra Street, Harrogate

Both Harrogate crews mobilised to the sight of smoke coming from the basement of residential flats. This incident is still ongoing and crews are investigating the smell of burning in a basement void with a thermal imaging camera.
