17:43: Station Road, Stokesley

A crew from Stokesley responded to reports of a person stuck in a hoist after the hoist battery failed. Family members and a carer had removed the person from the hoist prioer to fire service arrival. Crews used a long board to relocate the person to a comfortable position.

17:53: Forest Lane, Alne

A crew from Easingwold responded to reports of smoke sighted in the open. This was a false alarm with good intent, and was confirmed to be a controlled burn under supervision.

18:50: Denton Road, Denton

Crews from Skipton and Harrogate alongside colleagues from West Yorkshire Fire & Rescue Service, responded to reports of a fire in the living room of a residential property. The fire was out on arrival. The fire was confined to a pillar candle which had been left on top of a lit log burner. The occupant was able to extinguish the fire and ventilated the property prior to fire service arrival. Crew carried out investigation.

19:27: Naburn Lane, Naburn

A crew from York responded to reports of a small fire on the side of the road. Crews used a hose reel jet to extinguish the fire, which was believed to be a fire to a small memorial, which had spread from a candle.

21:39: Normanby Road, Romanby

A crew from Northallerton responded to a request from North Yorkshire Police to gain entry to a property on their behalf. Crews gained entry using small tools.

23:25: B1257, Clay Bank

A crew from Stokesley responded to reports of a single vehicle road traffic collision, where a car had left the road and entered a ditch with an approximately 4m drop. Three occupants of the vehicle were out on arrival of crews, walking wounded. Crews administered immediate emergency care to the occupiers.

01:31, Otley Street, Skipton

Crews from Skipton responded to reports of smoke inside a retail premises, and a bin store on fire attached to the building. Upon arrival this was found to involved 4 wheelie bins on fire causing 100% fire damage to all 4 bins. no action taken prior to fire service arrival. The cause is thought to be accidental and crew used a hose reel jet and thermal imaging camera to ensure no fire spread and fire extinguished.

01:54: Station View, Skipton

Crews from Grassington and Skipton responded to reports of a boiler which had exploded in a residential premises. Upon arrival and inspection this was found to have been a pressure fault on the boiler which had blown the front of the boiler off. Fire crews isolated the gas and electrics to property as a precaution and advice was given to the occupants. No fire or gas release was involved in the incident.

06:05 A1 North Allerton Park

Crews from Knaresborough, Harrogate and Ripon responded to reports of a car on fire on the hard shoulder of the motorway. Upon arrival the fire was already out and advice was given to the occupants of the vehicle. Vehicle was found to have been leaking engine coolant which had caused the fire. Fire confined to engine compartment and a passing HGV pulled over and extinguished using a water extinguisher. Crews inspected with a thermal imaging camera.

Crews from Harrogate, Easingwold, Selby, Acomb, York responded to reports of fire alarm activations. These were all investigated and confirmed false alarm.
