Incident Summary – 26th March – Night Shift

17:55 – Crosby Road, Northallerton

Crews from Northallerton and Thirsk were mobilised to an incident involving a kitchen fire in a commercial building. Crews used two breathing apparatus, one hose reel jet, one thermal imaging camera and a positive pressure ventilation fan to extinguish the fire and reduce smoke clogging. The incident was left with a responsible person.

19:12 – Market Court, Bedale

Bedale’s crew responded to an incident at a commercial property with an automatic fire alarm sounding. After an investigation this was found to be a false alarm.

20:06 – Marine Road, Scarborough

One of Scarborough’s crews attended an incident involving an unattended bonfire outside a residential property. Crews used one hose reel jet to extinguish.

20:11 – Haywra Crescent, Harrogate

A crew from Harrogate were mobilised to an industrial building due to an alarm sounding. This was found to be a false alarm due to the burglar alarm being activated.

21:04 – Elmwood Close, Stokesley

Stokesley’s crew were requested by ambulance to assist with a difficult extrication of a patient from within their home. Crews used lighting, crew power, small tools, absorbent pads and a decontamination kit to carry out the extrication. The incident was left with paramedics.

21:42 – Burdale Close, Norton

Malton’s crew were requested by police to assist with gaining entry to a property with a casualty inside. Crews used small tools to access the property and the incident was left with a responsible person.

02:41 – Fox Lane, Thorpe Willoughby

Selby crew assisted ambulance paramedics in gaining entry to a property. Forced entry was not required. Crews were able to raise occupier using triple extension ladder. Occupier opened door of property and incident was left with paramedics.

04:07 – Boroughbridge Road, York

Acomb crew attended following a report of an alarm sounding at a commercial building. On arrival and following investigation, crew confirmed this to be a false alarm due to a fault on the system. Advice given to responsible person.
