A crew from Scarborough responded to reports of a chimney fire. This was a false alarm with good intent, caused by a blow torch forming on the chimney due to not being used for some time.
Time: 19:49 Location: York Road, Thirsk
A crew from Northallerton responded to reports of a fire in the open. This was a false alarm with good intent, deemed a controlled burn under supervision.
Time: 20:11 Location: York Road, Boroughbridge
Crews from Ripon and Northallerton responded to reports of smoke issuing from a caravan. This was investigated and confirmed to be a false alarm, caused by cooking fumes.
Time: 22:43 Location: Victoria Avenue, Ripon
A crew from Ripon attended a residential property over a report of fogging in a kitchen. On arrival after investigation this was confirmed to be a false alarm.
Time: 23:19 Location: Stonebridgegate, Ripon
A crew from Ripon were approached on their return from a previous incident by a cat owner who’s cat had climbed on top of a building. Crews used a 9 meter ladder to retrieve the cat and reunite them with their owner.
