Incident Summary – Sunday 29th March 2026 – Night Shift
Time: 18:22 Location: Beech Avenue, Harrogate
A crew from Harrogate responded to a fire alarm activation at a commercial property. On arrival light smoke was found and after investigation this was believed to be from a build up of grease on cooking equipment. The equipment was left isolated and advice was given not to use it until it had been fully cleaned and checked by an electrician. The incident was left with a responsible person.
Time: 18:30 Location: Eastfield, Scarborough
A crew from Scarborough responded to reports of a fire sighted in the open. After a thorough investigation of the area no fire was located.
Time: 21:14 Location: Bramley Way, Knaresborough
Crews from Knaresborough and Harrogate responded to a report of a fire in a garden. This was found to be from a BBQ which had blown over and spread to some garden rubbish, garden furniture and a fence. Crews extinguished using a hose reel jet.
Time: 02:55 Location: Fox Lane, Thorpe Willoughby
A crew from Selby responded to a request from Yorkshire Ambulance Service to gain entry to a property on their behalf. Crews gained entry and left the occupants in the care of the ambulance service.
Crews from Harrogate and Bedale attended fire alarm activations. On arrival after investigation these were all confirmed as false alarms.
