Incident Summary – Friday 3rd April Night Shift

19:21 – Forest Lane, Harrogate

A crew from Harrogate responded to a report of a small fire in a hedgerow. The crew extinguished the fire with a hose reel jet.

00:37 – St Nicholas Cliff, Scarborough

A crew from Scarborough attended a premises to assist with releasing seven people from a lift after the doors had failed to open. Upon arrival all persons were out of the lift and no action was taken by the crew.

01:43 – High Petergate, York

A crew from York were requested by Police to assist with gaining entry to a premises where officers had noticed a water leak. The crew gained entry to the premises via a first floor window and isolated the leak. Crews used a triple extension ladder and small tools.

01:58 – A658 Follifoot

A crew from Harrogate attended a report of a fire in the open. The fire consisted of green waste and was burning without a responsible person present. The crew used a small tools, wildfire equipment and a hose reel jet to extinguish the fire.

07:05 – Church Lane, Cayton

A crew from Scarborough have been requested to attend a possible vehicle fire. This incident is ongoing at the time of publication.

Crews from Acomb, Lythe, Harrogate and Skipton attended automatic fire alarm activations throughout the evening. After thorough inspections these were all found to be false alarms.
