08:48 – Long Hedge Lane, Carlton
Crews from Selby were mobilised to a fire in the open. This was found to be a false alarm due to water from a hose looking like steam.
10:33 – A169, Goathland
Crews from Whitby and Lythe attended an incident involving a potential bus fire. This was found to be a false alarm due to a system fault triggering the fire alarm on board.
11:24 – Church Lane, Wheldrake
York’s appliance were Yorkshire Ambulance to assist with the difficult extrication of a patient that had fallen. Crews used crew power to lift them into a road ambulance and the incident was left with paramedics.
12:12 – Lund Lane, Killinghall
Ripon’s appliance attended an incident involving a two vehicle road traffic collision. Crews assisted with scene safety and moved the cars off the carriageway using crew power.
12:36 – Walton Park, Pannal
Harrogate’s crew were mobilised to an incident by police on behalf on ambulance to assist with a casualty. Crews assisted with providing CPR and used crew power to move the casualty into the road ambulance where they were then taken to hospital.
12:49 – Caledonia Street, Scarborough
Scarborough’s crew were requested by police to assist with gaining entry for paramedics at a residential property. Crews gained access using small tools and left the incident with ambulance staff.
13:00 – North Park Road, Harrogate
Both Ripon and Harrogate’s crew attended an incident involving a small fire on a residential balcony. Crews extinguished the fire using a hose reel jet and a triple extension ladder. The fire was contained and did not spread to the property.
14:02 – Beningborough Gate, Harrogate
Harrogate’s appliance were mobilised to a property with a casualty inside that had fallen and was unable to get up on their own. Crews assisted using crew power to lift the person to a place of safety.
14:52 – Falsgrave Crescent, York
Acomb’s pump were mobilised to reports of a gate fire at a residential property. The fire had been extinguished by neighbours on crews arrival, however knapsack sprayers were used to dampen down and ensure no further chance of fire spread.
15:52 – A64, Barton Hill
York’s crew were mobilised to a fire that had been spotted along the A64. This was a false alarm due to controlled burning under supervision.
16:22 – Market Street, York
Acomb’s appliance was mobilised to a commercial building due to the electricity blowing and the first floor filling with the smell of smoke. After a thorough investigation, no fire was found. Advice was given to contact an electrician due to a potential electrical fault in the building.
