10:51 – Harlow Oval, Harrogate
Harrogate’s appliance responded to an automatic fire alarm sounding in a domestic property. This was found to be a false alarm.
12:05 – Poplar Grove, Harrogate
Both Harrogate’s pumps and the ariel ladder platform were mobilised to a fire in the loft space of a residential property. Crews extinguished the fire using two breathing apparatus, a dry powder extinguisher, salvage sheets, a 9m ladder, a roof ladder and a thermal imagining camera to check for hot spots. Incident was left with homeowners.
13:08 – West Bank Park, York
Acomb’s appliance was mobilised to a small fire in the open consisting of commercial toilet rolls. Crews used one knapsack sprayer to extinguish and dampen down.
13:35 – Prospect View, Northallerton
Northallerton’s crew were requested by police to assist paramedics into a property. Crews used a triple extension ladder and a lock puller to gain access and the incident was left with paramedics.
14:45 – Bishopthorpe Road, York
York’s appliance were mobilised to an automatic fire alarm sounding at a residential premises. On crews arrival, this was found to be a small kitchen fire that had already been extinguished. Crews used one positive pressure ventilation van to clear smoke logging and the incident was left with a responsible person.
16:15 – Mill Lane, York
York’s crew attended an incident involving a fault on an electrical box that had caused it to begin smoking. Crews scanned for hotspots using a thermal imaging camera and left the incident with the homeowner to contact the telecom company.
