A crew from Scarborough responded to a person that had become trapped inside their property. Crews gained access through an open window and released the person who was unharmed.

A crew from Scarborough responded to gain entry to a property on behalf of the Ambulance service. Crews gained entry using crew power and the incident was left with paramedics.
Time: 12:27 Location: Mucham Bank Road, Scarborough
A crew responded to reports from police about a vehicle that had began leaking fuel onto the road after it had been involved in a previous road traffic collision dealt with by police officers. On arrival crews cleaned up a small oil spill using drizzit pads and isolated the batteries of both vehicles involved in the collision. The vehicles were handed over to a recovery company.

A crew from York responded to a small fire in a pipe along a cycle pathway. Crews extinguished using a hose reel jet and thermal imaging camera.
Time: 13:37 Location: Osgodby, Scarborough
A crew from Scarborough responded to smoke sighted in the open. This was found to be a controlled burn under supervision. Advice was given.
Time: 14:20 Location: Monks Cross, Huntington
York and Acomb responded to a light fitting smoking inside a retail building. Crews isolated the electrics on arrival and carried out a thermal investigation, confirming no fire or smoke damage. Advice was given to the responsible person to contact an electrician urgently.
Time: 15:30 Location: A661, Harrogate
Harrogate responded to a single vehicle road traffic collision. The driver was out on arrival and in the hands of ambulance crews. Crews provided scene safety and isolated the vehicle after moving it to a safe location. The incident was left in the hands of police.
Time: 15:30 Location: Eastfield, Scarborough
Scarborough, Robin Hoods Bay, Goathland and Malton are currently dealing with a fire in the open which is located in a difficult location. This incident is still on going.
Time: 16:01 Location: Westway, Scarborough
Scarborough responded to a telephone line which had fallen into the gardens of two residential properties. Crews cordoned the area and open reach were contacted to request an engineer and rectify the issue. Advice was given to homeowners.
Time: 16:23 Location: St Nicholas Street, Whitby
An fire officer is currently assessing the safe retrieval of two birds trapped inside netting on top of a three story building. The officer liaised with a responsible person to execute a rescue plan using Scarborough’s Ariel Ladder platform which attended to retrieve the birds to ground level.
Crews from Scarborough (x2) and Richmond responded to activated fire alarms. After inspection, these were all confirmed as false alarms.
