Incident Summary – Saturday 6th June – Day Shift
Time: 10:39 Location: Hambleton Drive, Thirsk
A crew from Thirsk were approached by a person after someone had fallen inside their property and could not get back up. Crew power was used to lift the person, who was uninjured, off the floor and to a safe place.
Time: 10:47 Location: Raincliffe Woods, Scarborough
A crew from Scarborough responded to a fire sighted in woodland. This was found to be a fire measuring approximately 3m x 3m consisting of wood and undergrowth. Crews extinguished and dampened down using a knapsack sprayer and shovel. Cause believed deliberate.
Time: 11:51 Location: Derwent Way, York
A crew from York responded to two people who had become trapped in a lift. Crews released the people, who were safe and well, using lift keys. Advice was given to contact a lift engineer.
Time: 12:17 Location: Hudswell
A crew from Richmond attended a single vehicle road traffic collision. The occupant was out on arrival, crews administered immediate emergency care and the occupant was left in the care of paramedics.
Time: 14:25 Location: Durham Street, Scarborough
A crew from Scarborough responded to a report of smoke sighted in the area. After a thorough search by the crews no smoke was located.
Time: 14:43 Location: White Canons Walk, Richmond
A crew from Richmond responded to assist the Ambulance service with the extrication of a patient. Crew power and a drag sheet were used to extricate the patient to a road ambulance.
Crews from Harrogate, York and Scarborough attended fire alarm activations. On arrival, after investigation these were all confirmed as false alarms.
