Incident Summary – Sunday 7th June – Night Shift
17:56 – A64 Bramham
Crews from Tadcaster attended a low-speed four-vehicle road traffic collision. Crews assisted with first aid to a person suffering a wrist injury. Crews also assisted with small tools to prevent fuel leaking from one of the vehicles. The scene was then left with Police and Highways.
20:31 – Industrial Estate, Richmond
A crew from Richmond extinguished an industrial bin fire using 45mm hose. The fire was believed to have been started deliberately.
22:44 – West Witton
A crew from Leyburn responded to a report of a fire sighted in the open. Upon arrival this was found to be a controlled burn with a farmer in attendance. No action taken by the crew except giving advice.
00:50 – A1 Northbound J44 – J45
A crew from Tadcaster attended a request from West Yorkshire to assist with a report of a bus on fire on the A1. This was found to be a false alarm caused by steam issuing from the vehicle due to it overheating. No action was taken by the crew.
Crews from Pickering, Whitby and York responded to automatic fire alarm activation throughout the evening. These were all confirmed to be false alarms.
