Incident Summary – Sunday 14th June 2026 – Night Shift

Time: 17.25   Location: Brough with St Giles

A crew from Richmond responded to assist paramedics gain entry to a property due to welfare concerns for the occupant. Crews safely gained entry to the property, crews then left the occupant with the paramedics on scene.

Time: 21.21   Location: Harrogate 

Harrogate crew responded to reports of a fence on fire. On arrival crews found a small section of the fence and undergrowth around it alight, crews used one hose reel jet to extinguish.

Time: 22.43   Location: York

Acomb and York crews attended a property, following a report of a fire in a rear garden. On arrival, crews found a fire affecting approximately 10 metres of hedging. Crews extinguished the fire using a hose reel jet, a thermal imaging camera to check for hotspots and lighting.

Time: 00.56   Location: Ripon

A crew from Ripon were requested to assist paramedics with gaining entry to a property due to a casualty being inside. On crews arrival, ambulance had already gained entry to the property – incident was left with them.

Time: 03.35   Location: Scarborough

Scarborough’s crew were requested to assist ambulance with the extrication of a patient from within their home. Crews used ambulance equipment to safely move them from the property, crews then left the patient in the care of the paramedics.

Crews from Whitby, York and Acomb responded to automatic fire alarm activations, after investigation these were found to be false alarms. Advice was given to the responsible person present.
