Incident Summary – Day Shift 3rd July
Time: 07.25 Location: Acomb Wood Drive, York
A crew from Tadcaster responded to a report of a fire in some woodland. On arrival crews found a small camp fire smoldering at the base of a tree. Crews used knapsack sprayers to extinguish the fire.
Time: 09.27 Location: River Ouse
A crew from Selby responded to reports of a boat in distress. Fire crews made contact with the boat and were able to ensure everything was ok, advice was given to the responsible person present.
Time: 10.45 Location: Bishop Woods, Selby
Selby crews responded to reports of a campfire left unattended that was still smouldering on the ground. Crews used small tools and knapsack sprayers to extinguish and dampen down the area.
Time: 13.28 Location: Hessay, York
Acomb and York crew responded to a agricultural shed on fire. The shed was measuring approximately 10 X 10 metres, crews used one hose reel jet to extinguish.
Time: 14.08 Location: St Nicholas Cliff, Scarborough
Crews from Scarborough responded to two people stuck in a lift, crews used lift keys to release the individuals in the lift. Advice was given to the responsible person present.
Time: 14.31 Location: Burnside Crescent, Skipton
Skipton Crews responded to reports of a fence on fire in a garden. A fence measuring approximately 2 X 1 metres was extinguished using one hose reel jet.
Crews from Harrogate (x3), Scarborough also attended reports of automatic fire alarm activations in residential premises. After investigation these were found to be false alarms.
