Hutton Moor, Rufforth

Both crews from Acomb, York, Huntington and Tadcaster alongside Tadcaster’s Water Bower are currently dealing with a standing crop field fire between Rufforth and Long Marston. Please could we advise all residents in area to keep windows and keep doors shut whilst this incident is ongoing and avoid York Road.

UPDATE 1828pm: Only Acomb, York and Tadcaster remain on scene damping down hotspots after extinguishing the fire with beaters and hose reel jets.
