Incident Summary – 13th July – Day Shift

Time:           08:09         Location:   Harrogate

Harrogate Crews were mobilised to smoke seen in the open. On arrival crews found to be a controlled burn that was left unattended. Crews used 1 Hose Reel Jet to extinguish the fire.

Time:     09:42               Location: Cherry Street, York

Acomb crews were mobilised to assist ambulance with carrying a casualty to the ambulance. Crews used crew power to assist and left in the care of the ambulance service.

Time:     10:33               Location:  Manor Road, Harrogate

Harrogate Crews attended an automatic fire alarm. On arrival was found to be a false alarm. Advice was given and left with responsible person on scene.

Time:    10:50      Location:  The Chimes, Selby

Selby Crews were mobilised to a automatic fire alarm. On arrival was found to be a false alarm. Panel was reset and advice given.

Time:       10:57             Location:  Green Dyke Lane, Slingsby 

Malton Crews were mobilised to a small fire in the open. On arrival was found to be a small bonfire out on arrival. No action required by the fire service. Advice was given.

Time:    11:03                Location: Bootham, York

York Crews were mobilised to an automatic fire alarm sounding. On arrival was found to be a false alarm due to testing on the alarm panel.

Time:     13:20               Location: Harrogate

Harrogate Crews were presented on station with a member of the public with a ring stuck on their finger. Crews used ring cutter to remove the ring and no further action required.

Harrogate crews were mobilised to assist police with gaining entry to a property. Carers were on scene concerned for occupants wellbeing. Key holder was able to gain entry prior to fire services arrival.

Leyburn Crews were mobilised to a tractor on fire in a field. crews used 1 breathing apparatus and 1 hose reel jet to extinguish the fire. Thermal imaging camera was used to check for hot spots and no further action required.

Acomb crews attended a automatic fire alarm sounding in a residential property. On arrival was found to be a false alarm caused by faulty detector.

Time:     14:35                 Location: B6265, Skipton 

Skipton crews were mobilised to a fire sighted in the open. On arrival was found to be a false alarm due to a controlled burn. Advice was given to responsible person on scene.

York Crews were mobilised to a fire in the open. Fire was out on arrival of fire service. Advice was given to persons on scene.

York crews were mobilised to an automatic fire alarm sounding. On arrival was found to be a false alarm. Advice given and no further action required.

Time:     15:26            Location: Huby

York and Acomb crews attended a field on fire measuring approximately 50mx20m.  Crews used one hose reel jet to extinguish the fire. Incident was left in the responsibility of the person on scene.

Acomb Crews were mobilised to a fire in a field. On arrival multiple large fires were identified. Crews used 1 Hose Reel Jet and Knapsack Sprayer to extinguish the fires. Believed to be deliberate.
