Both Scarborough crews responded to a fire within a refuse truck. On arrival crews found the rear refuse hopper smoking. One appliance followed the truck back to its depot where the refuse was emptied and spread out on hard standing and extinguished.

Whitby fire crew responded to a sighting of smoke from a passing motorist. On arrival, no smoke sighted. Following a thorough search and liaising with staff on site, smoke attributed to quarry machinery.

Selby fire crew responded to a report of unattended burning in a rear garden. However, on arrival this was found to be an attended controlled burn. False alarm.

Skipton fire crew responded to a report of intermittent smoke coming from chimney. Fire crew removed fuel from wood fuelled stove and gave advice.

Selby fire crew responded to a report of a Porsche Boxster on fire. The car which was well alight was extinguished by foam hose reel. Cause unknown.

Stokesley fire crew responded to a report of a 7Kg Propane gas cylinder venting. Fire crew emptied the cylinder which was venting due to the high temperatures. All other cylinders on site were checked to, with advice given to owner. Thermal camera used.
