Incident Summary – Saturday 12th September – Night Shift

Time: 17:51  Location: Mayfield Drive, Brayton

A crew from Selby responded to a fire confined to a skip. A hose reel jet was used to extinguish and dampen down.

Time: 18:06  Location: Argyle road, Whitby

A crew from Whitby responded to multiple people stuck in a lift after it had malfunctioned. Crews reset the lift allowing it to function correctly and the people were released safe and well.

Time: 18:38  Location: Eastfield, Scarborough

A crew from Scarborough responded to a request from the Ambulance service to help with a difficult extrication of a casualty. Crew power was used to extricate the casualty to a road ambulance.

Time: 19:27  Location: Pannal

A crew from Harrogate responded to a fire sighted in the open. On arrival this was found to be controlled burning under supervision. Advice was given.

Time: 00:22  Location: A1 Boston Spa 

A crew from Tadcaster assisted West Yorkshire fire and rescue service with a vehicle fire.

 

Crews from Harrogate, York (x5), Acomb, Scarborough and Filey responded to fire alarm activations. On arrival, after investigation these were all confirmed as false alarms.
