Incident Summary – Night Shift 3rd May

Time: 19.20  Location:  Longwestgate, Scarborough

A crew from Scarborough responded to a report of a fire that had been lit on a footpath outside a property.  This was found to be a BBQ.  Crews gave advice.

Time: 22.22  Location: High Street, Knaresborough

A crew from Knaresborough responded to a report of a person who had become ill, fallen and become trapped behind a door.  Crews gained access to the person and administered first aid while awaiting the Ambulance.

Time: 22.34  Location:  Burnholme Avenue, York

A crew from York responded to a report of a fire in the front garden of a property.  On arrival the crews located a chimnea which was smoldering and extinguished it using a bucket of water.

Time: 02.38  Location: Malpas Road, Northallerton

A crew from Northallerton responded to a request to assist Ambulance to gain entry to a property due to concerns for the welfare of the occupant.  Crew gained entry through a window and left the incident in the hands of Paramedics.

Time: 02.49  Location:  Dale Street, York

A crew from York responded to a request to assist Ambulance with extrication of a casualty who had fallen from their premises and into the Ambulance.

 

Crews from Acomb, York, Scarborough (x3) and Skipton also responded to automatic fire alarm activations. After investigation these were found to be false alarms.
