Incident Summary – 5th May 2026, Tuesday Dayshift
Time: 07.29 Location: North Kilvington
Crews from Northallerton and Thirsk responded to an agricultural vehicle on fire. Crews used one breathing apparatus and one hose reel jet to extinguish. Vehicle was located in a barn but the fire was confined to the vehicle and crews extinguished fully.
Time: 08.15 Location: Bishopthorpe Road, York
Crews from Acomb responded to reports of a burning smell coming from a building, on arrival this was found to be a false alarm due to a fault on the system. Crews gave advice to the responsible person.
Time: 09.14 Location: Hinton Avenue, York
Acomb crews responded to assist ambulance gain entry to a property due to belief the occupant had fallen. The occupant was able to unlock the door and allow emergency services in, fire crews left the occupant in the care of the paramedics on scene.
Time: 09.23 Location: Eastfield, Stokesley
A crew from Stokesley responded to assist carers gain access to a property, crews used one triple extension ladder and crew power to gain entry. Fire crews assisted carers on scene with moving the occupant into a comfortable position and left the occupant in their care.
Time: 11.13 Location: Lady Ediths Drive, Scarborough
Scarborough crews responded to reports of single vehicle road traffic collision. On arrival all persons were out the vehicle and in the care of the police on scene, crews conducted scene safety by disconnecting the vehicles battery and the incident was left with the police.
