Incident Summary – 8th May Day Shift

Time: 10.29  Location:  Fourth Avenue, York

A crew from York responded to a report of a person who was unable to access important medication after a door mechanism failed. Crews used small tools to gain access to the room containing the medication.

Time: 10.48  Location:  St Benedict Road, York

A crew from Acomb responded to a report of an automatic fire alarm activation at a residential property.  This was found to be a false alarm due to a fault on the system.

Time: 11.56  Location:  Institute Street, Glusburn

A crew from Skipton responded to a report of an automatic fire alarm activation in a residential premises.  This was found to be a false alarm due to testing on the system.

Time: 13.35  Location:  Mansfield Street, York 

A crew from York responded to a report of an automatic fire alarm activation in a residential premises.  This was found to be a false alarm due to cooking fumes.

Time: 13.38  Location:  Seamer Moor Lane, Seamer

A crew from Scarborough responded to a report of a diesel fuel van on fire.  On arrival of the crews the van was well alight and crews used 2 Breathing Apparatus and 1 Hose reel Jet to extinguish.

Time: 15.42  Location:  Botton Village

Crews from Danby and Malton responded to a request from Mountain rescue to assist wit rescuing a dog that had fallen down a hole.  This incident is ongoing at time of publication.

Time: 16.34  Location:  Knipe Point Drive, Osgodby

A crew from Scarborough responded to a report of a smell of burning in the vicinity.  This was a false alarm and the smell is believed to have come from a bonfire in the local vicinity.
