Time: 18.59 Location: Tang Hall Lane, York
York crew responded to reports of a fire in the open measuring approximately 1 by 1 metres. Crews used a knapsack sprayer and a fire bucket to extinguish. Cause is believed deliberately set by youths, police were informed.
Time: 19.23 Location: York
York crew responded to reports of a fire in the open opposite properties. The fire was out on fire crew arrival due to a local person taking action to extinguish, crews inspected only to ensure there was no risk. Cause believed deliberately set by youths, police were informed.
Time: 19.41 Location: Alcuin Avenue, York
York crew responded to reports of a fire in a park, on arrival crews found a fire withing a compost storage area measuring approximately 8 by 2 metres. Crews used one extended hose reel jet and wildfire rakes to extinguish. The cause believed deliberate by youths and police were informed.
Time: 20.00 Location: Clifton Backies
A crew from York responded to a report of a fire to some pallets in a woodland. Crews used 2 knapsack sprayers and a fire bucket to extinguish the fire. The cause is believed deliberate and the Police were informed.
Time: 21.01 Location: Mark House Lane, Gargrave
A crew from Skipton responded to a report of a fire in some woodland. Crews thoroughly checked the area using a thermal imaging camera however there was no sign of fire or smoke found.
Time: 22.53 Location: Malton
Both Malton crews responded to reports of a power bank smoking in a residential property. The occupier had extinguished the fire by submerging the power bank into water in the sink. Crews naturally ventilated the property and gave advice to the occupant.
Time: 03.13 Location: Greylands Park Road, Newby
A crew from Scarborough responded to a report of a fire to some grass. On arrival the crew found a small fire that was out on arrival.
Time: 04.20 Location: Dene Park, Harrogate
A crew from Harrogate responded to a request from Ambulance to assist with lifting a casualty that had fallen and couldn’t get up themselves. Crews lifted the casualty to a place of comfort using crew power and left them in the care of Ambulance crews.
Time: 05.12 Location: Welton Court, Whitby
A crew from Whitby responded to a request from Ambulance to gain entry to a premises. On arrival of the crew the occupant had opened the door allowing access and Fire Service were not required.
Time: 05.40 Location: Saltergate Bank, Lockton
Crews from Pickering, Malton and Goathland responded to a report of a calf that had fallen into a slurry tank. Crews used the Inflatable walkway and rescue lines to successfully rescue the calf.
Time: 05.47 Location: Oak Road, Ripon
A Crew from Ripon responded to a request to gain entry to premises on behalf of ambulance because the occupant was unable to open the door. Crews used lock puller and small tools to allow Ambulance access to the casualty.
Crews from Skipton and Acomb responded to automatic fire alarm activations, after investigation these were found to be false alarms. Advice was given to the responsible person present.
