Incident Summary – Friday 15th May 2026 – Day Shift
Time: 08.26 Location: The Wynd, Bedale
Northallerton crew responded to investigate reports of a small fire near buildings, on arrival this was found to be a false alarm as it was a control burn under supervision, advice was given to the person present.
Time: 08.45 Location: Knaresborough
Knaresborough crew responded to assist an individual locked in a room, crews used a key to access the room and help the individual out.
Time: 10.51 Location: York
York crews responded to an automatic fire alarm activation at a property. After investigation a small fire confined to the waste bin was discovered, the fire was out and crews assisted with natural ventilation of the property. Advice was given to the individual present.
Time: 12.28 Location: York Road, Naburn
A crew from York responded to a line of conifer trees on fire, the fire measure approximately 4 m by 2 m and crews used one hose reel jet to extinguish. There was an oil tank within the vicinity and crews cooled this using the hose reel jet as a precautionary measure and checked it with the thermal imaging camera, it was confirmed the tank was not compromised. Advice was given to the people present.

Scarborough crews responded to a vehicle fire, on arrival the vehicle was found well alight. Crews used two breathing apparatus for comfort wear and a hose reel jet to extinguish fully. Cause believed to be electrical.
Time: 15.05 Location: Fulford, York
Crews from York and Acomb responded to reports of a house fire. On arrival crews found a pan left smouldering on the hob, crews ventilated the property using a positive pressure ventilation fan.

A crew from Tadcaster responded to reports of youths setting fire in a field, on crew arrival one campfire was smouldering unattended, crews used two knapsack sprayers to extinguish.
Time: 15.59 Location: Beckwithshaw
Both Harrogate crews responded to a two vehicle road traffic collision. All occupants were out on the arrival of crews and in the care of paramedics, crews made the scene safe before leaving the incident in the hands of police and ambulance on scene.
