Incident Summary – Thursday 21st May 2026 – Day Shift

Time: 09:22  Location: Alcuin Court, York

Crews from York, Acomb and Tadcaster responded to a residential property fire. Two hose reel jets and four breathing were used to extinguish the fire. Crews then ventilated the property using a positive pressure ventilation fan.

Time: 11:34  Location: Beckside, Settrington

A crew from Malton responded to a request from the Ambulance service to help extricate a patient. Crew power was used to move the patient to a road ambulance and they were left in the care of the Ambulance service.

Time: 13:09  Location: Tanton Road, Seamer

A crew from Northallerton alongside an appliance from Cleveland fire and rescue service responded to a pile of manure measuring approximately 10 square meters which was on fire within a barn. Crews used two hose reel jets and are working alongside a farmer to move manure to a place of safety. This incident is ongoing at the time of publication.

Time: 13:12  Location:  Manor Road, Harroagte

Crews from Harrogate and Knareborough responded to a two vehicle road traffic collision. All occupants were out on arrival of the crews and they carried out scene safety.

Time: 13:34  Location: Dringhouses, York

Crews from Acomb and Tadcaster attended a fire to small machinery within a garage. The machinery had been removed from the garage prior to fire service arrival and crews extinguished the fire using a hose reel jet and thermal imaging camera.

Time: 14:12  Location: Moorland Road, Sherburn in Elemet

A crew from Tadcaster responded to a broken down vehicle which was leaking fuel. Crews isolated the vehicles battery and used drizzit pads to soak up the fuel. The incident was left with the police for recovery.

Time: 16:31  Location: Foxdale Avenue, Thorpe Willoughby

A crew from Selby responded to a request from the Ambulance service to gain entry to a property over concerns for the occupier. This incident is ongoing at the time of publication.

 

Crews from Scarborough, Acomb, Malton and Helmsley attended fire alarm activations. On arrival, after investigation these were all confirmed as false alarms.
