09:39 – George Hudson Street, York

Acomb’s appliance was mobilised to an incident involving an automatic fire alarm sounding at a residential property. This was found to be a false alarm due to new alarms being fitted.

09:56 – Bondgate Green Close, Ripon

Ripon and one of Harrogate’s pumps attended a residential property fire. Crews used two breathing apparatus, a thermal imaging camera, one hose reel jet and a positive pressure ventilation fan to extinguish and air the property. Incident was handed over to home owner.

10:05 – Raincliffe Woods

Scarborough’s appliance responded to reports of a campfire that had been left unattended, crews extinguished using a knapsack sprayer.

12:09 – Swinburn Road, Masham

Ripon’s appliance were requested to assist ambulance with a person that had become stuck inside their home and was unable to get up with the help of carers. Crew power was used to free the person and they were left in the care of their carers.

12:17 – Marton Cum Grafton

Crews from Knaresborough, both appliances from Harrogate, Acomb’s appliance with the aerial ladder platform and Wetherby were mobilised to an industrial building fire. Crews used two breathing apparatus, one hose reel jet, a thermal imaging camera and a short extension ladder to extinguish the fire. The incident was handed over to a responsible person.

12:48 North Marine Road, Scarborough

Crews from Scarborough, Sherburn, Malton, Robin Hood’s Bay and Whitby responded to reports of a residential property fire inside a fourth floor flat. Crews used four breathing apparatus, two hose reel jets, two thermal imaging cameras, and an aerial ladder platform to extinguish the fire. This incident is still ongoing.

13:10 – Yorkersgate, Malton

Malton’s second appliance was mobilised to a residential property with the fire alarm sounding. This was found to be a false alarm due to a faulty detector head.

14:46 – Birch View, Pickering

Northallerton’s crew were mobilised to an incident involving a person that had fallen inside their property behind a locked door. Crews gained access to the property using small tools and left the person with carers to await the arrival of ambulance.

16:32 – Bawtry Road, Selby

Selby’s appliance responded to reports of a vehicle smoking in a car park, on crews arrival no smoke was seen. Crews used a thermal imaging camera to scan for hot spots and gave advice to owner not to use the car until a mechanic had examined it properly.
