Incident Summary – Friday 5th June – Day Shift
08:52 – Wetherby Road
Both Harrogate crews were mobilised to an incident involving a fire to a trailer. Crews extinguished the fire using two breathing apparatus and a hose reel jet. Crews then scanned for any further hotspots with a thermal imaging camera and left the incident with a responsible person.
09:15 – St Peters Grove, York
Acomb’s appliance responded to an automatic fire alarm sounding at a residential property. This was found to be a false alarm due to steam from a shower.
10:17 – Sitwell Grove, York
Acomb’s crew were requested by ambulance to assist with a patient that had become trapped in their home. Crews extricated the casualty using crew power and left them in the hands of ambulance staff.
12:41 – Staxton Hill
A crew from Scarborough were mobilised to a report of a car smoking. This was found to be a false alarm due to overheated brakes.
13:49 – Coggan Close, York
Acomb attended a residential premises with its fire alarm sounding, this was found to be a false alarm due to an error on the system.
14:14 – East Ayton, Scarborough
Scarborough’s pump responded to an automatic fire alarm sounding with no response from the occupier, upon crews arrival, this was found to be a false alarm due to cooking fumes.
16:34 – Walker Drive, York
York’s appliance was mobilised to reports of a lawn mower that had caught fire in the garden of a residential property. Crews used one hose reel jet to extinguish.
