Time: 08:09   Location: Chain Lane, Knaresborough

Crews from Harrogate responded to an alarm sounding and a smell of burning in a commercial premises. On arrival, after investigation this was confirmed to be a false alarm with good intent.

Time: 08:51   Location: Station Road, Grassington

A crew from Grassington responded to a two vehicle road traffic collision. Crews made the scene safe and the incident was left with the police.

Time: 09:47   Location: Heslington, York

A crew from York responded to a report of smouldering ground. On arrival this was found to be a unattended campfire. Crews extinguished using knapsack sprayers.

Time: 09:49   Location: Bondgate, Ripon

Crews from Ripon responded to smoke inside a residential property. On arrival this was found to be a false alarm due to cooking fumes. The property was naturally ventilated.

Time: 10:59   Location: Staintondale, Scarboroguh

A crew from Scarborough responded to a report of fire in woodland. This was a fire measuring approximately 4m x 4m and was extinguished and dampened down. Crews then carried out a thermal scan to confirm there was no hotspots.

Time: 11:15   Location: Seamer, Scarborough

A crew from Scarborough responded to a report of a fire in a garden. On arrival this was confirmed to be a controlled burn under supervision. Advice was given.

Time: 12:00   Location: Picadilly, York

A crew from York responded to two people stuck in a lift. Lift keys were used to release the people who were safe and well.

Time: 12:16   Location:  Walworth Avenue, Harrogate

Both crews from Harrogate responded to a fire within a compartment of a large vehicle. Crews dampened down on scene and then followed the vehicle to a local depot where the contents were emptied, the fire was extinguished and crews checked for further hotspots.

Time: 13:07   Location: Sneaton Corner

Crews from Robin Hoods bay and Whitby responded to smoke sighted on moorland. On arrival this was found to be dust on the moorland.

Time: 13:38   Location: Winterburn

Crews from Skipton and Grassington responded to an agricultural building fire. Crews used two hose reel jets to extinguish the fire.

Time: 14:57   Location:  Foxholes

A crew from Filey responded to a fire sighted in the open. On arrival this was confirmed to be controlled burning under supervision. Advice was given.

Time: 15:53   Location: Westbourne Park, Scarborough

A crew from Scarborough responded to a request from the Ambulance service to help assist with the extrication of a casualty. Crew power was used to extricate the casualty to a road ambulance.

 

Crews from Ripon, Knaresborough, York (x2) and Acomb attended fire alarm activations. On arrival, after investigation, these were all confirmed as false alarms.
