Incident Summary – Day Shift – 22nd July
09:01 – Thornton Road, Pickering
Kirkbymoorside’s appliance were mobilised to a two vehicle road traffic collision. Crews assisted with making the cars safe and used small tools, stabilisation equipment and a winch. The incident was left with police.
09:53 – Muston Road, Filey
Ambulance requested the assistance of Filey’s pump to gain access to a premises with a casualty inside. Crews used game kit and small tools to make entry and the incident was left with paramedics.
10:04 – Abbots Road, Selby
Selby’s crew were requested by ambulance to assist with the difficult extrication of a patient from their home. Crews used crew power and casualty drag sheet to transport them into the road ambulance where they were then taken to hospital.
10:08 – A19, Raskelf
Crews from Acomb, Thirsk and Knaresborough responded to an incident involving a large hay trailer that had caught fire. This incident is still ongoing.
10:59 – Lime Walk, Ripon
Ripon’s crew were requested to assist ambulance with gaining entry to a property with a casualty inside. Crews used a recip saw and drill bit to allow access and the incident was left with paramedics.
12:14 – Silverfields Road, Harrogate
Harrogate’s first appliance were mobilised to a two vehicle road collision. Crews used small tools and spreaders to make the scene safe. An IEC pack was also used on a casualty whilst awaiting the arrival of ambulance.
14:28 – Walton Head Lane, Harrogate
Harrogate’s crew were mobilised to reports of fire sighted in a field by a road, this was found to be controlled burning under supervision.
14:37 – Hillam Lane, Hillam
Selby’s crew were mobilised to reports of a fire in the open. This was found to be a controlled burn with a responsible person in attendance.
16:09 – Harlow Moor Road, Harrogate
Harrogate’s crew responded to reports of a small fire in a wooded area. The fire was out on crews arrival, a full inspection was done but no fire service action was taken.
Crews from Harrogate (x2) and Malton responded to automatic fire alarm activations across county, these were all found to be false alarms.
