Incident Summary – Monday 6th April 2026 – Day Shift

Time: 11.41     Location: West Marton 

Skipton crew assisted our colleagues in North West with a telehandler fire, Skipton crews assisted Barnoldswik fire crews extinguish the fire and left the incident with them.

Time: 11.58     Location: Shipton By Benningbrough

A crew from Acomb responded to reports of a fire in a field. On arrival this was found to be a controlled burn consisting of trees and shrubbery, the fire was located in a safe area, with no risk of it spreading.

Time: 13.55     Location: Askham Lane, York

Acomb crew responded to reports of a tree on fire in a garden, on fire arrival the fire was out. Advice was given to the occupant present.

Time: 14.44     Location: Water Lane, York

A crew from Acomb responded to a report of a fire producing black smoke and loud bangs.  This was found to be a controlled burn of household waste with responsible person present.

Time: 15.32     Location:  Millfield Road, York 

York crew responded to reports of smoke in a property and the fire alarm sounding, after investigation this found to be because of a small pan fire, crews used a positive pressure ventilation fan to assist with ventilating the property. Advice was given to the occupant present.
