A crew from Selby responded to reports of a fire sighted in the open. On arrival this was confirmed to be a controlled burn under supervision. Advice was given to a responsible person.
Time: 11:11 Location: St Sampsons Square, York
A crew from York responded to a report of smoke coming from an electrical post. On arrival of crews this was confirmed to be caused by work being carried out by an electrical company. No fire service action was required and the incident was handed over to the electrical company.

A crew from York responded to a fire alarm activating in a residential property. On arrival after investigation this was confirmed to be a false alarm caused by cooking fumes.
Time: 12:54 Location: St Thomas Street, Scarborough
Crews from Scarborough and Filey responded to reports of smoke and a fire alarm activation in a residential building. On arrival after investigation this was confirmed to be a false alarm due to steam from a kettle.

A crew from Malton and an Ariel ladder Platform from Scarborough responded to a chimney fire. The fire was confined to the chimney flue and the ariel ladder platform and chimney nozzle adapter were used to extinguish the fire.

A crew from Richmond responded to a report of a fire in woodland. This was found to be a small campfire and crews extinguished using a bucket of water.
