17:18 Riverside Road, Richmond
Richmond crews responded to investigate a BBQ left unattended in a car park. Crew extinguished the fire using a bucket of water.
17:43 Station Road, York
York crews responded to a report of a small fire behind the railway station. Crews searched the vicinity of the area and no fire was located.
19:08 Leeman Road, York
Acomb crews proceeded to investigate a bonfire spotted in a wooded area. The fire had burnt out prior to arrival of crews.
19:28 Playing field, Haxby, York
Acomb crew whilst returning from the previous incident, received reports of a fire in playing fields close by. They responded to investigate and confirmed the fire involved 5sqm of brash and is believed to have been caused deliberately. Members of the public had extinguished fire prior to arrival of crews.
20:09 Front Street, Sowerby
Thirsk crews were mobilised to a property to investigate a report of a minor fire was believed to have occurred in the kitchen over an hour ago. However, on arrival of crew, this was confirmed to be a false alarm due to cooking fumes, no fire. Advice given.
22:55 Newby, Scarborough
Scarborough crew assisted with crew power to lift resident who had fallen in their home. Advice given. Occupier left with family member.
05:16 A1237, A59 Roundabout
Acomb attended the area following report from police of smoke issuing from a vehicle. On arrival, crew confirmed this to be a false alarm due to leaking oil on exhaust. Advice given to driver.
06:02 King Edwards Drive, Harrogate
Harrogate crews attended and inspected property following a small fire involving a candle in a kitchen. The fire was out on arrival, fire had not spread and was limited to candle and surface. Advice given to occupiers.
Bedale, Ripon, Hawes and Acomb crews responded to investigate automatic fire alarm activations. These were all were confirmed to be false alarms.
