07:55 – A19 Hutton Sessay
Crews from Northallerton and Ripon responded to a report of a 3 vehicle road traffic collision. Crews used hydraulic cutting equipment to release 1 casualty. All casualties were left in the hands of ambulance crews and the incident was left with the police.
10:17 Westgate, Pickering
A crew from Pickering responded to a report of a small fire in a coal bucket outside a residential property. Crews extinguished the fire and gave advice.
13:34 – Marton Road, Skipton
A crew from Skipton responded to a report of a tree stump smouldering within a small copse of trees. Crews dug out the smouldering stump and dampened the area down. Advice was given to a responsible person.
14:28 – A64 Claxton
A crew from York responded to a report of a vehicle smoking. On arrival crews found this to be a false alarm due to the vehicle having no coolant. Advice was given to a responsible person.
14:42 – Newlands Drive, York
Crews from Acomb, York and Huntington responded to a report of a fire in a residential property. Crews extinguished a fire in the roof space of a dorma bungalow that resulted in 100% fire damage the roof and 50% fire damage to the upstairs property and 10% fire damage to the rest of the property. Crews dampened down and checked for hotspots. Advice was given to a responsible person.
14:45 – Ascot Way, York
A crew from Tadcaster responded to a report of an alarm activation in a residential property. This was a false alarm due to cooking fumes.
15:00 Barden Moor
A crew from Leyburn responded to a report of smoke seen coming from the moor. Crews located an area of grass and gauze on fire measuring 50m x 50m. Crews extinguished the fire and dampened down 6 hotspots. The incident was handed over to a responsible person.
15:07 Keighley Road, Low Bradley
A crew from Grassington responded to a single vehicle road traffic collision in which a car had struck a deer. On arrival of crews all occupants were out of the vehicle and in the care of police. No fire service action was required.
15:32 Main Street, High Bentham
A crew from Skipton responded to a report of a loose roof slate that was hanging dangerously over the public pavement. Crews removed the loose slate and made the scene safe using a 13.5m ladder and crew power.
16:15 Lewis Road, Northallerton
A crew from Northallerton responded to a report of an alarm activation in a residential property. This was a false alarm due to a defective alarm.
16:24 – Bradley Lane, Rufforth
A crew from Knaresborough assisted an elderly casualty who had fallen in the garden of their property and was unable to get up. Crews assisted them to their feet and assisted them to walk into the property where they were left in the care of family members.
