Incident Summary – Monday 27th April – Day Shift

Time: 09:12  Location: Reeth

A crew from Richmond attended a residential property after a person had fallen and was uninjured but needed help to get back up. Crew power and strops were used to lift the person back up and they were left in the care of family.

Time: 09:47  Location: Stokesley

A crew from Stokesley responded to a request from the ambulance service to gain entry to a property over concerns for the occupier. Crews gained entry using a lock puller and the occupier was left in the care of the ambulance.

Time: 10:13 Location: North Moor Road, Northallerton

Incident involved an infant accidentally locked inside a car. Crews gained entry through the passenger door and released the child from the vehicle who was unharmed and left in the care of the parent. Small tools used only.

Time: 11:13  Location: Maltongate, Thornton-le-dale

Pickering assisted ambulance with the extrication of a patient from inside their property. A scoop stretcher was used to move the patient and they were left in the care of the ambulance service.

Time: 11:20  Location: Duke Street, High Bentham

A crew from Bentham responded to a fire sighted in the open. This was found to be a controlled burn under supervision. Advice was given.

Time: 11:29  Location: Richmond

A crew from Richmond came across a casualty who had fallen. Crews provided immediate emergency care until the arrival of the ambulance.

Time: 11:50  Location: Stape

A crew from Pickering responded to a report of a fire sighted in woodland. This was found to be a small fire in peet and crews extinguished and dampened down using knapsack sprayers, buckets of water and shovels.

Time: 12:56  Location: Grimston Bar

A crew from York responded to a fire sighted in the open. On arrival this was confirmed to be a controlled burn under supervision. Advice was given.

Time: 14:06  Location: Water Skellgate, Ripon

A crew from Ripon responded to a request from the Ambulance service after entry could not be gained to a property. Crews gained entry via an open window and the patient was left in the care of the ambulance.

Time: 14:48  Location: Burnside Avenue, Skipton

A crew from Skipton responded to gain entry to a property after the occupant had become locked out and there was medication that was needed inside. Crews gained entry through an open window.

Time: 14:54  Location: Cawthorne Crescent, Filey

A crew from Scarborough responded to a request to help move a patient within a property. Crews assisted in moving the patient and they were left in the care of carers.

Time: 15:11  Location: Scarborough

Crews from Scarborough responded to a person that had become stuck at the top of a Ferris wheel. The person was able to disembark when the ride re-restarted and no fire service action was required.

Time: 15:13  Location: Wedderburn Road, Harrogate

A crew from Harrogate responded to a request from the Ambulance service to help extricate a patient. Crew power and an ambulance chair were used to extricate the casualty to a road ambulance.

 

Crews from Harrogate and Scarborough attended fire alarm activations, on arrival after investigation these were all confirmed as false alarms.
