Incident Summary – 27th April – Night Shift

19:26 – Hillam Road, Gateforth

Both crews from Selby were mobilised to a residential property fire. The fire was out on arrival of crews. A thermal imagining camera was used to check for further risk and an IEC pack was used to treat the occupier for possible smoke inhalation. The incident was left with police and ambulance staff.

20:33 – Highfield Villas, Sherburn in Elmet

Tadcaster’s crew attended an incident involving a fire that had been spotted in the open. After investigation, this was found to be a false alarm due to controlled burning under supervision.

20:49 – Water Lane, York

Acomb’s crew responded to reports of a large fire in the open. On crews arrival the fire had already burnt out. Crews gave advice to a responsible person.

21:55 – Hawthorn Grove, York

A crew from York were mobilised to a small fire inside a public bin. Crews used one hose reel jet to extinguish and a thermal imaging camera to ensure there was no further ignition.

Crews from Scarborough, Selby, Richmond and York responded to automatic fire alarm activations all across county, these were all found to be false alarms.
