Downholme Moor Fire

Our crews are currently dealing with an incident at Downholme Moor near Catterick Garrison training facilities. It involves a fire in a plantation on moorland.

We have a number of crews attending as well as use of our argocat, 3 hose reel jets and 2 leaf blowers.

We are asking the public to keep away from the area at this time.

We were alerted to the fire at 14:43

Update:

The inclide a wildfire that measured approximately  170m x 50m in a plantation of trees. Crews extinguished the fire and dampened down the area.
