11:46 – A19

Both crews from Northallerton and Thirsk’s appliance were mobilised to reports of a car fire on the A19. This was found to be a false alarm due to an overheated engine. Advice was given to the driver.

12:27 – Homestead Park, York

Acomb’s appliance attended an incident involving a small fire that had been deliberately set to a plastic fence. Crews extinguished using one knapsack sprayer and the incident was left with police.

13:09 – Newburgh Park, Coxwold

Helmsley’s crew responded to an automatic fire alarm sounding at a domestic property. This was found to be a false alarm.

14:01 – Kirkgate, Settle

Bentham’s appliance were requested by police to assist with a lift alarm activation. On crews arrival, no one was trapped in the lift.

15:23 – Herman Walk, York

York’s appliance responded to an automatic fire alarm sounding in a residential property. After inspection, this was found to be a false alarm.

15:40 – Birch Close, Filey

Scarborough’s pump were mobilised to an automatic fire alarm activation – this was a false alarm due to cooking fumes.

15:50 – A171

Robin Hood’s bay’s appliance was mobilised to reports of a burning smell along the A171. After a thorough search of the area, crews were unable to locate any fire or burning smell.
