Time: 17:12 Location: Filey Road, Scarborough
Scarborough responded to a bonfire left unattended which they extinguished using knapsack sprayers.
Time: 17:20 Location: Swarth Moor, Settle
Bentham responded to a reported fire in the open. After inspection, this was confirmed as a controlled burn under supervision. Crews gave advice.
Time: 18:34 Location: Knavesmire Wood, York
Acomb responded to a fire measuring 1m x 1m in the woods which consisted of brash. Crews extinguished the fire and police were informed as this was believed a deliberate fire.
Time: 19:20 Location: South Cliff, Scarborough
A crew from Scarborough responded to a fire in the open close to a play park. This was a small campfire which crews extinguished using a knapsack sprayer.
Time: 19:25 Location: Royal Albert Drive, Scarborough
A crew from Scarborough responded to a fire in the open near a play park. This was a bonfire measuring 2m by 2m. Crews used 2 knapsack sprayers and a bucket of water to extinguish. The cause was believed deliberate.
Time: 20:57 Location: Hinderwell, Staithes
Lythe responded to reports of a bonfire in a field. After inspection, this was confirmed as a controlled burn under the supervision of a responsible person.
Time: 21:43 Location: Leyburn Road, Leyburn
Leyburn crew were requested to gain entry to a property for ambulance crews so that they could provide welfare to the occupant. The paramedics had gained entry prior to their arrival after making contact with the occupant. No action was required by the fire service and the incident was left with paramedics.
Time: 22:11 Location: Tang Hall, York
York assisted ambulance crews with lifting a patient back to a safe place inside their property after they had returned home from hospital with patient transport but were unable to move themselves upstairs. Crew power was used and the incident was left with the ambulance service and a family member.
Time: 22:46 Location: Broadway, Scarborough
Scarborough were requested by police to gain entry to a property for ambulance crews after welfare concerns for the occupant inside. Crews used a lock puller kit to gain entry and contact was made with the occupant. The incident was left in the hands of paramedics and police.
Time: 23:11 Location: Westfield Lane, Tadcaster
Tadcaster crew alongside an appliance from West Yorkshire were called to assist police with a vehicle stuck in a muddy track and leaking fuel. However, on arrival police confirmed the fire service were no longer required and the driver was out on arrival with no injuries reported. The incident was left with police to arrange recovery.
Crews from Harrogate, Selby, Acomb (x2), Scarborough and York (x2) responded to activated fire alarms. After inspection, these were confirmed as false alarms.
