Incident Summary – Day Shift – 12th May

09:24 – A1M

Crews from Ripon and Thirsk responded to a single vehicle road traffic collision on the A1M. Crews carried out first aid to the casualty whilst awaiting the arrival of ambulance. Crews removed bushes allowing access for paramedics and the incident was left with highways and police.

10:04 – Martin Cheeseman Court, York

Acomb’s pump was mobilised to an incident involving a person that had fallen within their residential property and their carer was unable to gain entry to assist them. Crews used a gain entry kit to allow the carer entry and the incident was left with them.

11:43 – A1M

Crews from Knaresborough, Tadcaster and Boroughbridge were mobilised to a road traffic collision involving a HGV that had come to rest against the central reservation after the driver suffered a medical episode. On crews arrival, the casualty was with paramedics. Crews assisted with clearing a fuel leak using dammit paste. The incident was left with police.

12:50 – Doncaster Road, Selby

Selby’s appliance attended a residential property with an automatic smoke alarm sounding, this was found to be a false alarm due to a system fault.

13:02 – Olliver Lane, Skeeby

Richmond’s pump were mobilised to an domestic property with a smoke alarm sounding. This was found to be a false alarm due to cooking fumes triggering the alarm.

14:06 – Badger Lane, Northallerton

Northallerton’s appliance attended an incident involving a dog that had become trapped between a fence and a shed in the garden of its property. Crews used crew power to free the dog with no injuries.

14:15 – Valley Grove, Osgodby

Scarborough’s crew attended a residential property with multiple fire alarms sounding. After investigation, this was found to be a false alarm.
