Incident Summary – Thursday 14th May – Day Shift

Time: 09:55   Location: Catterick Road, Catterick Garrison

A crew from Richmond responded to a request from the Ambulance service to help with the extrication of a patient to a road ambulance. Crew power and an ambulance stretcher were used.

Time: 10:22   Location: Springfield Close, Barlby

A crew from Selby responded to a request from carers to gain entry to a property over concerns for the occupier. Access was gained via a downstairs window and the occupant was left in the care of paramedics.

Time: 12:06   Location: Durham Way, Harrogate

A crew from Harrogate responded to a patient who had fallen and was uninjured but was unable to get back up. Crew power was used to lift the patient back into bed and they were left in the care of the family.

Time: 13.26   Location: The Waterfront, Selby 

Crews from Selby responded to a heat sensor activating in a property, after investigating this was found to be a false alarm due to a fault on a system. Crews gave advice to the responsible people present.

Time: 13:37   Location: Prospect Hill, Whitby

A crew from Whitby responded to a request for assistance from the Ambulance service after two people had fallen in a property and could not get back up. Crew power was used and the people were left in the care of the ambulance.

Time: 14:03   Location: Egton, Whitby

A crew from Lythe responded to a fire sighted on a moor. On arrival this was found to be a controlled burn under supervision. Advice was given.

Time: 15:03   Location: Church Square, Harrogate

Both crews from Harrogate attended a fire alarm activation at a residential premises. On arrival after investigation this was found to be a false alarm due to cooking fumes.

Time: 15:43  Location: Scarcroft Road, York

A crew from York responded to a fire sighted in the open. This was found to be an unattended bonfire and crews extinguished using a hose reel jet.
