Incident Summary – Wednesday 24th June – Day Shift

Time:  07.56   Location: Huntington Road, York

York crew assisted paramedics extricate a casualty from the second floor of a property, crews used ambulance equipment to safely move the casualty into the ambulance.

Time: 08.47    Location: Filey 

A crew from Scarborough responded to reports of the grass smouldering, on arrival crews found a fire measuring approximately 1 X 2 metres. Crews used knapsack sprayers to dampen down and spades to dig out the affected area.

Time: 09.38    Location: Throxenby, Scarborough

Crews from Kirkbymoorside and Scarborough responded to reports of a fire in a woodland area. On arrival crews found a fire measuring approximately 4 X 3 metres, crews used 04 knapsack sprayers, one extended hose reel jet, wildfire beaters and a thermal imaging camera to extinguish and check for hotspots.

A crew from Richmond assisted paramedics extricate a casualty from a property. Crews safely moved the casualty into the ambulance and left them in the care of the paramedics.

Crews from Richmond, York, Harrogate and Scarborough responded to automatic fire alarm activation. After investigations these were found to be false alarms, advice was given to the responsible people present.
