Incident Summary – 27th June 2026 – Night Shift

Time:  22.19    Location: Marton Cum Grafton 

Crews from Knaresborough and Harrogate responded to reports of fire sighted. On arrival this was found to be a false alarm due to controlled burning. Responsible people were present and advice was given.

Time: 23.16     Location: Whitby

A crew from Whitby responded to assist paramedics gain entry to a property over welfare concerns for the occupant. Crews safely gained entry, however there was nobody in the property.

Time: 23.47     Location: Grosvenor Crescent, Scarborough 

Scarborough crew responded to an individual stuck in a lift, crews used lift keys to safely release the individual. Advice was given to the responsible person present,  no further fire service action was required.

Time: 01.02     Location: Water End, York 

A crew from Acomb responded to assist paramedics extricate a casualty from a property, crews safely extricated a casualty from the first floor of a property and left the individual in the care of the paramedics.

Time: 01.09     Location: Scarborough 

Scarborough crew responded to four people stuck in a lift, crews used lift keys to safely release everyone from the lift. Advice was given to the responsible person present.

Crews from Scarborough, Selby, Ripon, Acomb responded to automatic fire alarms sounding at a property. After investigation these were found to be false alarms with advice given to the responsible person
