Time: 17:55 Location: Flixton

Crew from Filey responded to reports of a bonfire left unattended. Crew used 1 hose reel jet to extinguish.

Time: 18:15  Location: Harrogate

Crew from Summerbridge attended reports of water pouring from inside an empty property. Whilst on scene the council attended and incident left in their hands.

Time: 18:35 Location: Dishforth

Crew from Hawes attended reports of a chip pan on fire at a residential property. On arrival the pan had been removed from the house and was already out. Crews carried out an inspection only.

Time: 19:10 Location: York

Crew from Acomb responded to reports of a lithium battery believed to be overheating. This was found to be a false alarm.

Time: 19:51 Location: Stillingfleet

Crew from Snaith attended reports of smoke sighted in the area. This was found to be a controlled burn under supervision.

Time: 19:56 Location: Camblesforth

Crew from Huntington responded to reports of a pile of sawdust smoldering. Following a thorough search no incident could be located.

Time: 20:16 Location: Stokesley

Crew from Coulby Newham responded to reports of a fire to fencing on a recreation ground. Crew extinguished the fire using 1 hose reel jet.

Time: 21:12 Location: Sherburn in Elmet

Crew from Tadcaster responded to reports of a large fire in the open. This was found to be a controlled burn. Advice given to responsible person.

Time: 21:33 Location: Thirsk

Crew from Thirsk extinguished a fire measuring 2 x 2 metres that had been left unattended. 1 hose reel jet used.

Time: 21:36 Location: Northallerton

Crew from Northallerton responded to reports of a planter smoldering. Crew carried out a search of the area but could not locate any signs of fire.

Crew from York were mobilised to reports of a fire on some scrubland. The fire was out on arrival of crews. Inspection only.

Time: 21:53 Location: Grassington

Crew from Grassington were mobilised to reports of people having several small fires on grassland. On arrival crews located a group of people with 3 disposable BBQ’s. Crew used a bucket of water to extinguish.

Time: 22:28 Location: Selby

Crew from Selby attended a bin fire that had been caused by the disposable BBQ’s placed in a bin. Crew used 1 hose reel jet to extinguish.

Time: 01:57 Location: Scarborough

Crew from Scarborough responded to reports of a fire to a fence and hedge. Crew used 1 hose reel jet to extinguish and dampen down.

Time: 03:06 Location: Selby

A crew from Selby responded to a report of a fire in a field. Upon arrival this was found to be an abandoned motorcycle well alight. The crew used knapsack sprayers, buckets of water and a thermal imaging camera to extinguish the fire. The cause is believed to have been deliberate.

 

 

During the night crews from Thirsk, Skipton X2, Acomb, Whitby X2 and York attended automatic fire alarm activations. These resulted in false alarms.
