Incident Summary – 12th July – Day Shift

Time:  12:03   Location:  Saxon Road, Whitby 

Whitby Crews were mobilised to an Automatic Fire Alarm. On arrival was found to be a false alarm and no further action required.

Time:   12:46   Location:  Sherburn

Scarborough and Malton Crews attended a field a fire. Crews used 2 Hose Reel Jets and 2 Knapsack Sprayers to extinguish the fire.

Time:  13:46   Location:  Knaresborough

Knaresborough Crews attended a bbq on fire. Crews used a bucket of water to extinguish the fire and gave advice to person on scene.

Time:  14:14   Location:  Low Snaygill

Skipton crews were mobilised to a fire in the open. On arrival was found to be a fire 5mx5m in a wooded area. Crews used 2 Backpack Sprayers and 1 Hose Reel Jet to extinguish the fire. Advice was given to landowner in attendance.

Time: 14:53    Location: St Josephs Street, Tadcaster

Tadcaster Crews attended a overheated battery from a caravan. Battery was removed and isolated. Advice was given to the owner.

Time:  15:07   Location: Blackthorn Close, Selby

Selby Crews were mobilised to a small fire in the open. On arrival was found to be a fire in the woods. Crews used 2 Knapsack sprayers and a spade to extinguish the fire. On Inspection of the area another small fire was found and extinguished

Time: 15:37     Location: A169,  Malton 

Malton Crews were mobilised to a car fire. On arrival was found to be a false alarm due to an overheated engine. Crews used Hose Reel Jet to cool down and left with owner awaiting recovery.

Time:    16:08  Location: Thornburgh Road

Scarborough and Sherburn Crews were mobilised to a fire in a industrial building. On arrival was found to be a false alarm due to fault on system.
