Time:   10:16        Location:   Bondgate, Ripon

Ripon responded to an activated fire alarm inside a building. After inspection, crews found this to be a false alarm with a responsible person in attendance. Advice given.

Time:  11:20         Location:   Stakesby Road, Whitby

Whitby responded to a person who had their finger stuck under a worktop which fire crews released safely. No injuries reported.

Time:   12:00        Location:   Oakdale, Harrogate

Both Harrogate crews responded to an oven fire inside a domestic property. The fire was confirmed out on crews arrival and an inspection was carried out to ensure no fire or smoke damage. Advice was given to the occupant in regards to home fire safety before crews left the scene.

Time:   12:23        Location:   A1(M) Junction 42, Selby Fork 

Tadcaster alongside assisting appliances from West Yorkshire Fire Service responded to reports of a large vehicle fire. The fire was confined to the brakes and tyres only and had been dampened down by West Yorkshire Fire crews using a hose reel jet. The incident was left with the owner who was arranging recovery of the vehicle. Highways were also informed.

Time:   13:07        Location:   Knavesmire, York

York responded to reports of smoke sighted in the area. After inspection, this was confirmed as false alarm as no smoke was visible in the area.

Time:   14:38        Location:   A1(M) J48 to J49, Dishforth

Ripon responded to reports of smoke coming from a vehicle. After the vehicle was located and inspected, no fire was present and it is believed that a blown turbo had been mistaken as smoke at time of call.

Time:   14:50        Location:   Micklegate, York

York and Huntington responded to an activated fire alarm inside a residential property. After inspection this was confirmed a false alarm.

Time:   15:33        Location:    Chruch Fenton, Tadcaster

Tadcaster responded to a small fire inside a bailer which had spread to approximately 5 x 10 metres of standing crops. The fire was extinguished by the farmers prior to fire crews arrival however crews used a hose reel jet to dampen down the area before leaving the incident.

Time:   16:38        Location:   Backies, York

Acomb are currently dealing with two small fires measuring 1 x 1 metres each. Crews are extinguishing the fires with knapsack sprayers and hand tools.
