Incident Summary Day Shift – 3rd August
Time: 09.49 Location: Tennent Road, York
Crews from York and Acomb responded to a report of a fire to a plug socket in a residential premises. On arrival the crews found a plug socket that had been overloaded by an extension lead and melted. Crews isolated the electrics and gave advice to the occupier.

A crew from Harrogate responded to a request to assist Ambulance gain access to a casualty who had fallen in their property. Crews used small tools to gain access to the property and left the casualty in the hands of Paramedics.
Time: 09.54 Location: Lady Ediths Drive, Scarborough
A crew from Scarborough responded to a fire to some rubbish. The fire measured approximately 1m x 2m and crews extinguished using 1 Hose reel Jet.
Time: 10.15 Location: Acaster Malbis, York
A crew from Selby who were on-route to standby at York responded to a request for assistance from Ambulance with the extrication of a casualty from their premises into an Ambulance. Crews used crew power and Ambulance Equipment to assist.
Time: 11.13 Location: Briggswath, Whitby
A crew from Whitby responded to a report of a fire in the open that was producing a lot of smoke. On arrival of the crews the fire was found to be a controlled burn under supervision. Crews gave advice to the responsible persons present.

A crew from Scarborough responded to a report of a fire in a car park. Crews located a small camp fire with a person in attendance in a place which has signage requesting no fires in the area. Crews extinguished it using a bucket of water.
Time: 12.21 Location: Haxby Road, York
A crew from York responded to a report of a fire to some grassland. The fire had been extinguished prior to the arrival of the crew. Crews dampened down the area using a knapsack sprayer. The Police were informed due to the believed cause of the fire being deliberate.
Time: 13.42 Location: Old Rugby Way, Scarborough
Crews from Scarborough responded to assist ambulance with extrication of a casualty from their property into an Ambulance. Crews used crew power to lift the casualty onto an ambulance stretcher enabling Paramedics to transport the casualty to the Ambulance.
Time: 13.50 Location: A172, Carlton in Cleveland
Crews from Stokesley and Northallerton responded to a report of a 2 vehicle road traffic collision. All the occupants of the vehicles were out on arrival of the crews. Crews administered Immediate emergency care and left the incident in the hands of Police and Ambulance.

A crew from Whitby responded to smoke sighted and a smell of burning. On arrival the crews located a controlled burn under supervision.
Time: 14.05 Location: Norton, Malton
A crew from Malton responded to a person who had a ring stuck on their finger. Crews used ring cutters and removed the ring.
Time: 14.29 Location: The Stonebow, York
A Crew from York responded to a report of a waste bin on fire. Crews located the bin which was smoldering and extinguished it using 1 hose reel jet.
Time: 14.29 Location: Throxenby, Scarborough
A crew from Scarborough responded to a report of an unattended campfire. On attendance the crews located the camp fire which was attended. Advice was given.
Time: 15.26 Location: Bullamoor Road, Northallerton
Crews from Northallerton responded to a report of bales on fire. This incident is ongoing at time of publication.
Crews from York (x 3) and Harrogate also attended reports of automatic fire alarm activations. After inspection these were found to be false alarms.
