Incident Summary – Day Shift 29th August

Time:   10:24       Location: Dene Park, Harrogate

Harrogate fire crew were mobilised to an automatic fire alarm sounding in a residential building.  On arrival of the crews was found to be a false alarm caused by cooking fumes.

Time:    11:41      Location:  Scalby Road

Scarborough crew were mobilised to a car on fire. Crews used 1 hose reel jet and 1 breathing apparatus to extinguish the fire. Police were in attendance on scene for traffic safety.

Time:   12:27       Location: Herdsman Road, York

Acomb crew were mobilised to a automatic fire alarm in a residential property. On arrival of fire crews was found to be a false alarm.

Time:       12:27   Location: Endican Lane, Thornton Le Moor 

Northallerton crew were mobilised to a fire sighted in the open. On arrival of crews was found to be a controlled burn under supervision with means to extinguish. Advice given to responsible person. No action required from crews.

Time:    12:59      Location:  Braeside Gardens, York

Acomb and York crew were mobilised to a fire in a residential property. On arrival was found to be a false alarm no further action required.

Time:       13:07   Location:  Leeds Road, Thorpe Willoughby 

Selby Crew were mobilised to a fire sighted in the open. On arrival of fire crews was found to be a small fire that was out on arrival. Advice given responsible person on scene.

Time:  13:59        Location: A19 

Northallerton crews were requested to assist police with scene safety at a road traffic collision due to the smoke coming from the vehicle. On arrival of crews no sign of fire. Crews assisted ambulance with casualty care and made the scene safe.

Time:      14:20    Location: Lancaster Park Road, Harrogate

Harrogate crew were mobilised to an automatic fire alarm sounding. On arrival of crews was found to be a false alarm.

Time:      14:47    Location:  Greengate Lane, Malton 

Malton crews attended a residential property where the alarm was sounding due to smoke from a pan that had been left on the hob. Crews removed the hob and naturally ventilated the property. Scene was made safe and no further action required.

Time:     14:49     Location: Spring Field Garth, Norton 

Sherburn crew were mobilised to a fire in a residential property. On arrival of crews was found to be a false alarm due to a faulty smoke alarm.

Time:   15:47       Location:  Station Parade, Harrogate

Harrogate crew were mobilised to reports of persons trapped in a lift. Crews used lift keys to release 2 people trapped. No further action required.

Time:    16:28      Location: Eastfield

Scarborough crews were mobilised to a vehicle on fire. This incident is currently ongoing.
