Incident Summary – Saturday 12th September 2026 – Day Shift

Time: 08.51   Location: Austwick

Crews from Bentham alongside assistance from Hornby crews (Lancashire fire) responded to a two vehicle road traffic collision. Crews assisted the occupants out of the vehicles and left them in the care of the paramedics on scene. Crews then made the vehicles and scene safe.

Time: 10.54   Location: Scarborough 

Scarborough crew responded to assist a casualty who had fallen on the floor and were unable to get up, paramedics were already on scene. Crews safely assisted the casualty and left them in the care of the paramedics.

Time: 11.53   Location: Ilton

A crew from Bedale were mobilised to a fire in woodland. Crews located a fire measuring 2 x 2 metres and used knapsack sprayers and wildfire tools to extinguish. A local farmer also assisted crews with a water supply due to the location of the incident.

Scarborough crew responded to a gas leak in a property, crews isolated the gas and gave advice to the responsible people present.

Time: 13.30   Location: Harrogate

A crew from Harrogate responded to reports of an automatic fire alarm sounding. This was found to be a false alarm, advice was given to the responsible person present.

Acomb crew responded to an automatic fire alarm sounding. This was found to be a false alarm. Advice was given to the responsible person present.
