Time: 18:14  Location: Grassington

A crew from Grassington responded to a fire alarm activation inside a residential premises. After inspection, this was confirmed as a false alarm.

Time: 19:03  Location: North Moor Road, Huntington

York attended an alarm activation inside a residential building. After inspection, this was confirmed as a false alarm.

Time: 19:14  Location: Grange Lane, Acomb

Acomb responded to a fire measuring 1m x 1m in woodland. Crews extinguished the fire using knapsack sprayers and small tools. The cause of this fire was believed to be deliberate and police were informed.

Time: 19:34  Location: Micklegate, York

Acomb retained and York responded to an alarm activation inside a property. On their arrival, an engineer was on site rectifying the issue as there was a fault on the system. No fire service action was required.

Time: 19:47  Location: Avenue Road, Acomb 

Acomb and Huntington responded to reports of smoke inside a residential property. Crews arrived and found no sign of smoke or fire. Advice was given to the occupant who believed they had seen smoke after waking up.

Time: 22:31  Location: Coxwold

Easingwold responded to reports of a chimney fire. Crews carried out an external investigation using a 9 metre ladder, roof ladder and thermal imaging camera alongside an internal investigation and found no signs of fire. Advice was given to the occupant.

Easingwold responded to an activated fire alarm inside a residential property. After investigation, this was confirmed as a false alarm.

Time: 03:40  Location: Near Monkgate, York

Acomb responded to a wheelie bin on fire which had spread to a tree. Crews extinguished the fire using a hose reel jet and thermal imaging camera. The cause of the fire was believed deliberate and police were informed.

Time: 04:17  Location: Thief Lane, York

Acomb responded to a person that had accidentally become stuck inside their bathroom after the locking mechanism failed. Small tools were used to release the person who was safe and well. Advice was given.

A crew from Tadcaster responded to a fire alarm activation inside a residential property. On arrival this was found to be a false alarm due to a fault on the system.
