Incident Summary – 8th March, Night Shift
Time: 17.34 Location: St Stephend Road, York
A crew from Acomb responded to a person who was unable to get back into their property and thought they had left the oven on inside the property. On arrival of the crews the occupier had gained access to their property and no fire service action was required.
Time: 17.57 Location: Millennium Bridge to East Bank track, York
A crew from York respponded to a report of a bonfire on grassland that was near to some trees. Crews located the incident which was found to be a BBQ which was under supervision. Advice was given.
Time: 19.36 Location: Eastfield, Scarborough
A crew from Scarborough responded to reports of a fire on the side of the road. Crews found a controlled burn under supervision and crews gave advice to the responsible person. While at the incident crews located two further fires nearby after youths had set off fire works and started two seats of fire to the grass verge. Crews used 2 hose reel jets to extinguish the fires.
Time: 20.28 Location: Aireyholme Lane, Great Ayton
A crew from Stokesley responded to a report of youths setting a fire in woodland. The fire was found to be out on arrival of the crews who undertook an inspection only.
Time: 20.58 Location: Crag Lane, Harrogate
A crew from Harrogate responded to a report of a person who had fallen down an embankment and suffered a knee injury. Crew used crew power and lighting to lift male into ambulance at top of embankment. Male was transferred to Hospital by road Ambulance.
Time: 21.02 Location: Jacksons Lane, Scarborough
A crew from Scarborough responded to a report of a large bonfire. Crews found the fire unattended and extinguished using 1 hose reel jet.

A crew from Acomb responded to a report of a person who had fallen and were unable to get up. Crews used crew power to move the person to a safe place and left them in the hands of family.
Time: 21.21 Location: A1237, Askham Bryan
York crews responded to reports of a fire sighted unattended near a roundabout. crew extinguished the bonfire using a hose reel.
Time:21:28 Location: Beamsley
Skipton crew proceeded to investigate a fire sighted in the vicinity of the beacon. After inspection crew confirmed this was a bonfire under supervision. Crews gave advice and allowed bonfire to burn out under watch of responsible person.
Time: 05.50 Location: Scalby Road, Newby
A crew from Scarborough responded to a report of a fire to a garden gate and fencing of a property. On arrival the crews found the gate, fence and hedge well alight and used 1 hose reel jet to extinguish the fire. The front of a car was also affected in the fire.
Crews from Whitby, Summerbridge and Scarborough also attended reports of automatic fire alarm activations. After inspection these were found to be false alarms.
