Incident Summary – Wednesday 1st April – Night Shift
Time: 17:20 Location: Conference Close, Malton
Crews from Malton, Sherburn and York attended a report of a fire at a residential property. The fire was out on arrival and was caused by burnt cooking, crews assisted with ventilating the property and the casualty was left in the care of the Ambulance service.
Time: 18:27 Location: Priory Villas, Richmond
Crews from Richmond, Reeth, Northallerton and over border appliance Darlington attended a property fire. 6 breathing apparatus and 2 hose reel jets were used to extinguish the fire which originated in the kitchen and spread across the first floor of the premises. Crews ventilated the property and used thermal imaging cameras to check for further hotspots.

A crew from Selby attended a small fire in the open, this was out on arrival and was believed to have been set by youths.

Thirsk crew attended a residential property to assist Ambulance with gaining entry. Small tools used to gain entry via the window and crews left the casualty in the care of Paramedics.

Crews from York and Acomb attended a late fire call at a residential premises where a faulty electric heater had been smoking. Heater removed from premises and advice given to occupant.

Ripon crew attended an electric bike that was on fire within the woods.The fire was out on arrival but 1 hose reel jet was used to dampen down the bike.

A crew from Harrogate attended a report of an automatic fire alarm which was confirmed to be a small fire within a residential property. The fire was out on arrival, advice given to resident.

Richmond crew attended a fire on a balcony of a residential property. The fire was out on crews arrival but 1 hose reel jet was used to dampen down the area.

Acomb crew attended a fire in the open. This was confirmed to be a controlled burn with a responsible person on site.
Crews from Harrogate, York, Kirkbymoorside, Scarborough, Filey and Acomb attended reports of automatic fire alarms which turned out to be false alarms.
